Scope

This standard specifies the mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, surface roughness, and technical requirements of cylinder liners made from non-ferrous metals.
This standard applies to circular seamless or welded non-ferrous metal cylinder liners that have been subjected to stress relief or sufficient heat treatment, and whose inner holes have been machined with or without chips. It also applies to shaped cylinder liners with circular inner holes.
Note: This standard primarily targets brass alloys and aluminum alloys, but is not limited to these materials.
