Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and contract (or order form) contents for zirconium and zirconium alloy scrap (hereinafter referred to as "scrap").
This standard applies to various zirconium and zirconium alloy scrap used as recycled raw materials.
This standard does not apply to zirconium and zirconium alloy scrap that pose a hazard to the environment and human health, such as zirconium waste generated from the dismantling of obsolete equipment in the nuclear industry.
