Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the wax content in crude oil and the method for evaluating the quality of the extracted wax.
The standard applies to crude oil with a water content by mass or volume not exceeding 0.5%. For crude oil with a water content by mass or volume exceeding 0.5%, dewatering treatment should be carried out.
