Scope
Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the breeding and management of boars in large-scale boar stations, describing the site selection, facility configuration, breeding management, requirements for introducing breeding stock and semen collection, biosafety, and group transfer and transportation. This document can serve as a technical basis for the construction and management of large-scale boar stations. Main technical content: 4.1 Site selection 4.1.1 An environmental assessment should be conducted before project construction to meet the requirements of HJ 568. 4.1.2 The site should be sheltered from the wind and exposed to the sun, with high and dry terrain and good drainage. In mountainous areas, the site should be located on south-facing slopes with stable geological conditions. 4.1.3 The site should be at least 1,000 meters away from concentrated population areas such as residential and drinking water sources, animal farms, breeding zones, and urban residential areas, as well as major highways and railways. It should also be at least 2,000 meters away from animal quarantine facilities, hazardous waste treatment facilities, animal slaughter and processing facilities, animal and animal product markets, and animal clinics. The site should be surrounded by fences or other effective barriers. 4.1.4 The site should be located in the downwind or sidewind direction of residential areas, away from enterprises prone to environmental pollution such as chemical plants, slaughterhouses, and tanneries, as well as residential sewage outlets; away from areas prone to frequent livestock and poultry diseases and areas threatened by floods such as valleys and lowlands; and away from water source protection areas, tourist areas, nature reserves, environmental pollution areas, and quarantine isolation facilities. 4.1.5 The soil should not be contaminated by biological, chemical, or radioactive substances, and it should have strong water perme
