Scope
Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, production area, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage for the geographical indication product "Huining Apple" approved by the People's Government of Huining County in accordance with laws and regulations such as the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China and registered by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (registration number: 23608346); Main technical content: The Huining Apple varieties include Fuji series, Golden Crown series, and Marshal series. Site conditions: The production area of Huining Apple is located in the northern five towns of Huining County, with an altitude of 1,600 m to 1,900 m, in a warm temperate continental monsoon climate zone; the average annual rainfall is about 370 mm, and all areas have irrigation conditions from Suihe and Huanghe water sources. The optimal cultivation model is "ridging and mulching with sand, inter-row grass planting, and water-saving irrigation". The air quality of the production area meets the requirements of NY/T 856. The irrigation quality of the farmland meets the requirements of NY/T 856. The soil layer thickness of the production area should be ≥30 m, with a loess-clay soil texture, a pH of 6.5 to 7.8, and an organic matter content of more than 1%. The soil environmental quality should meet the secondary requirements of GB 15618. Site selection and planning: The scale of the orchard selection is based on villages, townships, or cooperatives, with unified planning and centralized land development to save land and investment and facilitate mechanized operations and intensive management. According to the site conditions, the low-stem or short-branch dense planting mode is adopted in the lowlands, and the grafted or short-branch dense planting mode is selected in the terraced fields.
