GB/T 38841-2020 Mechanical properties measurement—Room temperature tensile test of reacted Nb3Sn composite superconductors
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the principles, devices, sample preparation, test conditions, result calculation, measurement uncertainty, and test reports for room-temperature tensile tests of Cu/Nb3Sn composite superconducting wires after reaction.
This test method is used to measure the elastic modulus and the specified plastic elongation strength (resulting from the yielding of the copper and copper-tin components in the composite) through the stress-strain curve.
In addition, the elastic limit, tensile strength, and elongation after fracture can be measured by this method. According to the international cyclic comparison test report, the measurement of the elastic limit and elongation after fracture has a large uncertainty, so these physical quantities are optional measurements.
This standard is applicable to the measurement of uninsulated coated samples with a cross-sectional area of 0.15 mm2 to 2.0 mm2 and a copper-non-copper volume ratio of 0.2 to 1.5 in a circular or rectangular cross-section.
