Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and order or contract requirements for potassium fluoroborate used in industry.
This standard applies to potassium fluoroborate prepared by the reaction of fluorides, borides, and potassium salts. It is mainly used as a fluxing agent for the production of aluminum-titanium-boron alloys, thermal welding, and copper welding, and is also used in electrochemical and flame retardant materials.
