GB/T 38944-2020 Non-destructive testing—Testing method of small-angle neutron scattering
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies a method for detecting the size distribution, content, and specific surface area of second-phase particles (micro-pores, precipitated phases, fillers, etc.) within samples using neutron small-angle scattering experiments based on reactor neutron sources.
This standard is applicable to sparse sample systems with statistically isotropic second-phase particles ranging in size from nanometers to submicrometers. It is suitable for the detection of solid samples such as metals, ceramics, polymers, and minerals. For liquid samples, it can be used as a reference. The appropriate sample thickness is approximately 0.5 mm to 10 mm (for example, about 0.5 mm to 3 mm for polymer samples, about 0.5 mm to 5 mm for ceramics and minerals, and about 0.5 mm to 10 mm for commonly used metal materials).
