1.0.1 In order to ensure that the construction projects of the metallurgical industry (including the gold industry, hereinafter the same) comprehensively implement the basic national policy of environmental protection throughout the entire design process, and in accordance with the "Regulations on Environmental Protection Design for Construction Projects" of the People's Republic of China and other relevant environmental protection laws and technical policies, these regulations are hereby formulated. 1.0.2 These regulations apply to the design of new, expansion, and reconstruction projects of large and medium-sized metallurgical enterprises. The treatment of old pollution sources in metallurgical enterprises and the design of new, expansion, and reconstruction projects of small-scale metallurgical enterprises may be implemented with reference to the actual situation as appropriate.
