Main Technical Content: Chang Mai Fu Orange Production Technical Specifications 1 Scope This standard specifies the selection and planning of orchards, as well as cultivation management for Chang Mai Fu oranges. It applies to the production and management requirements of Chang Mai Fu oranges. 2 Normative Reference Documents The following documents are essential for the application of this document. For undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document. - GB 4285: Standards for the Safe Use of Pesticides - GB 5084: Water Quality Standards for Farmland Irrigation - GB/T 8321 (all parts): Guidelines for the Rational Use of Pesticides - NY/T 227: Microbial Fertilizers - NY/T 496: Guidelines for the Rational Use of Fertilizers - NY/T 5010: Pesticide-Free Agricultural Products – Environmental Conditions for Cultivation Sites - DB469023/T 5: Chang Mai Fu Oranges – Seedlings 3 Site Selection and Planning 3.1 Site Selection 3.1.1 Annual average temperature: 23.8°C; annual average sunshine duration: 2059 hours; annual average rainfall: 1786 mm. 3.1.2 Soil should be loose and fertile, with a soil layer depth of over 1 m, and an organic matter content of over 1.5%. The groundwater level should be below 1 m. Other requirements follow NY/T 5010. 3.1.3 Water and air quality should meet the standards specified in NY/T 5010. 3.1.4 Preferentially select flatlands below 200 m in altitude, or slopes with gradients of 6°–15° in mountains and hills. 3.2 Site Planning 3.2.1 Construct complete facilities such as roads, irrigation and drainage systems, and ancillary buildings, and establish windbreaks. 3.2.2 For flatlands and slopes with gradients of 5° or less, plant rows should be oriented north-south, and a rectangular planting pattern is recommended.
