Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection and judgment rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for hand-knotted Tibetan carpets.
This standard applies to hand-knotted Tibetan carpets made from pure wool or blended yarns using wool flocks as the main raw material from Xining wool (Tibetan indigenous sheep wool).
Hand-knotted carpets made from wool flocks using other fiber raw materials and woven with Tibetan carpets' wool flock knots can also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
