Scope
This guidance technical document specifies the techniques used to remove information from microforms. If these technical specifications are followed, users' removal requirements will be fully met. This guidance technical document applies to the following two situations: when receiving an instruction to remove files, images can be removed and destroyed from microforms; when the files require the deletion, correction, or modification of specific information, the image content can be revised. The techniques in this guidance technical document establish appropriate methods for removing or modifying images and ensuring the integrity of the files.
