This standard specifies the test method for determining the surface strength of paper and cardboard using a standard dedicated wax stick.
This standard is applicable to coated and uncoated paper and cardboard.
This standard is not applicable to high-bulk paper and coated paper containing thermoplastic resins in the coating layer.
