Scope
This standard specifies the replica and microscopic measurement methods for the dimensions of artificial defects (artificial grooves/through-holes) on comparison samples used for flaw detection of zirconium tubes. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the dimensions of artificial grooves/through-holes on comparison samples for non-destructive testing of zirconium tubes, such as ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing. The measurement of similar artificial defect dimensions in comparison samples of other metals can also be carried out with reference to this standard.
