Scope

This standard specifies the basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of AC generator sets driven by reciprocating diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as the generator sets).
This standard applies to generator sets with a voltage output range of 1 kV to 11 kV, an output power of not less than 100 kW, a rated power factor of 0.8 (lagging), and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. AC generator sets operating at 60 Hz can be used as a reference.
