Scope

This document describes the fire resistance and fire protection performance evaluation methods of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composites used in buildings and vehicles for structural applications. This document is applicable to fiber-reinforced thermoset or thermoplastic plastic composites with an inorganic fiber length greater than 7.5 mm. This document describes the following evaluation methods: -- The suitability of different product types (such as boards, laminates, profiles, and certain sandwich structures) for end-use performance; -- The test methods and performance evaluation criteria for fiber-reinforced plastic samples of different shapes.
