Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of black box exposure, test principles, test sites and facilities, test devices and instruments, environmental conditions and environmental factor monitoring, samples, test cycles, test operations, test interruptions, post-test processing, test records, data processing and result presentation, and test reports, etc.
This standard is applicable to accelerated natural environment tests of organic coatings, composite materials, plastic coatings, adhesives, etc. on metal and alloy substrates using black box exposure test devices. Other polymer materials can also be used as reference for this standard.
