Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of exhaust fans.
This standard applies to single-phase rated voltages not exceeding 250 V, and other voltages not exceeding 480 V, driven by AC motors for industrial use (such as workshops, warehouses) and other similar environments, installed on walls for ventilation and air exchange.
This standard does not apply to exhaust fans used for household and similar purposes or under other special conditions.
The safety requirements for exhaust fans contained in this standard shall comply with the relevant provisions of Tables 6 and 7 in the standard.
