Scope
This part specifies the dimensions, general requirements, and test methods for dual-row straight-insert integrated circuits (as defined in IEC 60191-2: 1966, such as A-50).
The sockets include standard types (see Figures 6 and 7) and small-case types (see Figures 8 and 9).
This part applies to sockets with through-board insert terminals intended for use with printed circuit boards meeting the basic grid of 2.54 mm (0.1 in) specified in GB/T 1360-1998.
Small-case sockets can be installed side by side or end to end on a 2.54 mm (0.1 in) grid.
This part does not include test prototypes of sockets.
