Scope
This standard specifies a high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the determination of metronidazole, lornoxicam, dimetridazole, and their metabolites in milk and milk powder.
This standard is applicable to the determination and confirmation of the residue levels of metronidazole, lornoxicam, dimetridazole, and their metabolites in milk and milk powder.
The method's detection limits in this standard are as follows: metronidazole, lornoxicam, and dimetridazole in milk are 0.5 μg/kg; hydroxy metronidazole is 1 μg/kg; and 1-methyl-2-hydroxymethyl-5-nitroimidazole is 2.5 μg/kg; metronidazole, lornoxicam, and dimetridazole in milk powder are 2.5 μg/kg; hydroxy metronidazole is 5 μg/kg; and 1-methyl-2-hydroxymethyl-5-nitroimidazole is 12.5 μg/kg.
