Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the requirements and test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for two-stroke gasoline engine oils made from high-viscosity index base oils and various additives. The lubricating oil referred to in this standard (hereinafter referred to as two-stroke gasoline engine oil) is suitable for two-stroke spark-ignition gasoline engines with a crankcase scavenging system and is used for lubricating related machinery such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, and chainsaws in transportation, leisure, and other applications. According to the definition of GB/T 7631.17, the products covered by this standard are divided into three grades: EGB, EGC, and EGD. This standard covers all grades that define the performance requirements of two-stroke gasoline engine oils.
