Scope

Main technical content: In order to standardize and institutionalize the management of student drinking milk sources in Shandong Province, the Dairy Branch of the Shandong Animal Husbandry Association, based on the current high production standards of large-scale dairy farms in our province and referring to the national management standards for student drinking milk sources, has formulated the "Shandong Student Drinking Milk Source Base Management Standards (Discussion Draft)". The specific content includes the site and layout of the milk source base, facilities and equipment, dairy cattle breeding management, daily ration and feeding management, disease prevention and control, milking management, environmental management, personnel management, file management, and farming scale and production level. These standards, based on the implementation of national standards and combined with local practices in Shandong, set higher, more comprehensive, and more specific operational requirements for student drinking milk raw materials—raw cow milk. The requirements for total coliform count, milk fat, and milk protein are all higher than those in China's "National Food Safety Standard for Raw Milk". In addition, the detection of somatic cell count, psychrotrophic bacteria, and heat-resistant spores has been added. Among these requirements, the limits for total coliform count and somatic cell count are the same as those in EU standards. The purpose of these requirements is to maintain the health of dairy cows and the safety of raw cow milk quality.
