Scope
Scope: This document specifies the requirements for selecting tree stumps, transplanting and planting, post-transplantation care, pruning and shaping, disaster prevention and control, and nursery preparation of pine species (Pinus Linn.). This document applies to large-scale pine species pruning and shaping. Main technical content: 4. Tree stump selection 4.1 Selection of suitable species for shaping: Common species include Chinese fir, Huashan pine, and black pine. 4.2 Selection requirements: Based on cultivation objectives and specifications, select robust, disease-free, and pest-free plants with distinct layering and uniform branching on the main trunk. 4.3 Classification: According to the number of basal branch stems, they can be divided into single-trunk seedlings and multi-trunk seedlings. 4.4 Selection of single-trunk seedlings 4.4.1 Small-sized materials should be able to create 1–3 layers with approximately 1–6 cloud plates. Select plants with a height of less than 3 m, a diameter of more than 8 cm, and a crown width of more than 1.0 m. 4.4.2 Medium-sized materials should be able to create 3–6 layers with approximately 3–10 cloud plates.
