Scope

This document specifies the normative and informative AML libraries used for engineering information modeling, which are used to exchange information between engineering tools in an automated environment via AML. Additionally, as an example, this document provides other user-defined libraries. Its provisions apply to the export/import applications of related tools. This document specifies the AML role class library and the usage of AML for expressing semantics. Role classes provide semantics for AML objects, and attribute types provide semantics for AML attributes. The association between role classes and AML objects or between attribute types and AML attributes indicates the possibility of adding (including external) semantic information to them. Semantic information is obtained by associating role classes with AML objects or attribute types with AML attributes. This document does not define the details of the data exchange process or the usage requirements of the export/import tools. Note: In the future, AML attribute type libraries may be included in this document.
