Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for casing materials for thick oil steam injection and steam drive thermal recovery wells, as well as the requirements for pipe end connections and the evaluation of their applicability and methods. This standard applies to the selection and applicability evaluation of casing for domestic thick oil steam thermal recovery wells, including main well types such as vertical wells and directional wells, with steam injection conditions requiring a steam wellhead temperature not exceeding 400°C and a steam injection pressure not exceeding 35 MPa. It also covers the operating environments of thick oil steam thermal recovery wells on land and at sea.
