Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, designations, models, specifications, and markings, usage characteristics, technical requirements, testing and inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of mica-tape mineral-insulated corrugated copper-sheathed cables and terminals with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV and below. This standard applies to mica-tape mineral-insulated corrugated copper-sheathed power cables and terminals used for power transmission in locations prone to fire spread or directly affected by fire, and to mica-tape mineral-insulated corrugated copper-sheathed control cables and terminals used for control, monitoring circuits, and protection lines in locations with a rated voltage of 450/750 V and prone to fire spread or directly affected by fire.
