Scope
This part of GB/T 34974 specifies the form of machine-readable passports (MRPs) and provides guidance for the production of MRPs, especially in terms of presenting the holder's detailed information in both visual and machine-readable formats. This part also stipulates the requirements for passports with biometric recognition and machine-readable capabilities.
This part is applicable to all applications related to machine-readable (hereinafter referred to as MR) passports.
