Scope

This standard specifies the basic technical requirements, testing methods, and sampling rules for knitted sports protective gear. Other requirements for sports protective gear shall be implemented in accordance with relevant product standards.
This standard applies to knitted sports protective gear made from textile fibers using knitting technology, or products made by laminating knitted fabrics with polyurethane foam materials, including ankle protectors, leg protectors, knee protectors, waist protectors, wrist protectors, arm protectors, elbow protectors, shoulder protectors, and headbands.
This standard does not apply to sports protective gear for infants and young children aged 36 months and below.
