GB/T 43121.1-2023 Ships and marine technology—Aquatic nuisance species—Part 1:Ballast water discharge sample port
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the design and layout requirements for ballast water discharge sampling interfaces. According to the overall design requirements of the ship, suitable sampling probes are installed in the ship's sampling interfaces to meet the needs of collecting ballast water samples. When not in use, the interface port is sealed with a blind plate flange. This document also stipulates the location of representative sampling interfaces to meet the compatibility with various samplers. It also specifies the requirements for the return interface of the ballast water pipeline downstream of the sample sampling interface, allowing the processed sample water to return to the ballast water pipeline. The sample collectors determine suitable samplers and other sample collection equipment according to the requirements of ISO 117112. Note: The sampling interfaces mentioned in this document are different from the samplers mentioned in ISO 117112. The sampling interface is a permanent device designed and installed in the ship's ballast water pipeline, meeting the requirements for the installation of multiple samplers. The sampler is a temporary water collection pipe designed to meet the sampling measurement purposes and installed in conjunction with the sampling interface. This document applies to ballast water discharge pipelines with turbulent flow and a nominal size of not less than DN 100. For ballast water discharge pipelines with smaller diameters, see Appendix A. This document mainly relates to the collection of ballast water discharge samples. For the optional installation of sampling interfaces when collecting intake water samples, see Appendix B.
