GB/T 43130.1-2023 Installation and equipment for liquefied natural gas—Design of floating LNG installations—Part 1:General requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the requirements and guidelines for the design and operation of floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, including the liquefaction, storage, gasification, transportation, and processing of natural gas, to ensure the safety of the design and operation of floating LNG facilities and meet environmental protection requirements. This document applies to the following floating LNG facilities: - Floating LNG production, storage, and offloading units (FLNG); - Floating LNG regasification units; - Floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) and floating regasification units (FRU); - Floating storage units (FSU). This document applies to offshore, nearshore, or dock-based floating LNG facilities. It also briefly introduces the concept of floating LNG mooring. This document applies to new and modified floating LNG facilities. This document does not apply to: - Onshore LNG storage, liquefaction, and/or regasification units/plants, except for floating LNG production and offloading units and floating LNG regasification units docked at terminals; - Offshore LNG plants based on non-floating structures (e.g., gravity-based structures); - Onshore support facilities (e.g., support vessels, tugboats, etc.). This document does not cover the part of LNG used as a fuel for refueling.
