Scope

This document specifies the operating procedures and requirements for directly sampling representative quality samples from soft and hard sheep wool bales, or obtaining them using appropriate tools, as well as the requirements for batch sample sampling. It also describes the testing methods for wool tufts, wool bases, and fiber diameters, and the requirements for re-inspection and certificates. This document is applicable to the sampling process in the production, trading, processing, and quality supervision of raw sheep wool.
