Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining inorganic arsenic [arsenite As(III) and arsenate As(V)] in food by liquid chromatography and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of inorganic arsenic in food.
The detection limit of the method specified in this standard is 0.002 mg/kg for As(III) and 0.004 mg/kg for As(V).
