Scope
This standard specifies the quarantine identification of Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae (Xoo) and Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzicola (Xcola), the causative agents of rice blast and bacterial stripe diseases, based on the morphological characteristics, physiological and biochemical properties, molecular biology, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) techniques of plants. It also clarifies the methods of field observation, isolation and identification, and sample preservation.
This standard is applicable to the detection of Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae and Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzicola in rice materials and related environments.
