Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of membrane electric heating elements for household and similar applications.
This standard applies to membrane electric heating elements with a single-phase voltage not exceeding 250 V and a three-phase voltage not exceeding 480 V, used in household or similar appliances.
Note: The membrane electric heating elements applicable to this standard include metal-based ceramic paste electric heating elements, glass tube tin oxide film electric heating elements, and mica-based tin oxide film electric heating elements. The relevant requirements for membrane electric heating elements made of materials such as carbon-based paste, carbon fiber, metal film, and conductive polymer materials are currently under consideration.
