Scope
This standard specifies the basic technical requirements for the reproductive test protocol for the safety evaluation of aquatic feed. This standard recommends the use of zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio), but does not exclude other fish species [such as medaka (Oryzias latipes) and swordtail fish (Xiphophorus helleri)], but the test conditions should be modified accordingly. This standard applies to the safety evaluation of compound feed, single feed, and feed additives used by aquatic animals, excluding feed drug additives.
