GB/Z 44526-2024 Non-destructive testing—Performance-based qualification
Basic Information
Scope
This document provides a method for qualifying non-destructive testing personnel, process procedures, and equipment in specific non-destructive testing applications based on the Operational Competence Qualification Program. The implementation of this document requires collaboration between various industrial sector committees (ISCs) and qualification agencies to ensure that specific expected implementation outcomes are met. The qualification methods described in this document are used to evaluate the candidates' ability to detect and evaluate critical discontinuities, which is equivalent to the ability specified in the Operational Competence Qualification Program established by the ISCs. This document establishes guidelines to assist individuals in taking exams based on the Operational Competence Qualification Program. Second-party (employer-based) qualifications and recognitions (e.g., refer to ANSI/ASNT CP-189[3]), or third-party certifications (e.g., refer to ISO 9712[1] or EN 473[2]), as well as subsequent on-the-job training, do not provide the required level of trust for safety-critical inspections. This document applies to specific applications implemented in accordance with the Operational Competence Qualification Program.
