Scope
This standard specifies the chemiluminescence determination method for the release amount of nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen oxides (the total amount of nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide) in the mainstream smoke of cigarettes.
This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen oxides in the mainstream smoke of cigarettes.
In this method, the detection limit and quantification limit of nitrogen monoxide are 0.0028 μmol/cigarette and 0.0094 μmol/cigarette, respectively, and the detection limit and quantification limit of nitrogen oxides are 0.0012 μmol/cigarette and 0.0039 μmol/cigarette, respectively.
