Scope
This document provides a method for estimating the process capability or performance statistics of a product or process characteristic when its parameters are time-related. The distribution models of the characteristics can be divided into eight categories, and this document also provides the calculation formulas for estimating the location and dispersion parameters of each type.
The statistical methods described in this document are only applicable to cases where the quality characteristics are continuous data, and they are suitable for production processes in any industrial or economic sector.
