Scope

This part of YY/T 0855 is applicable to non-woven and woven materials used in disposable and reusable surgical drapes and other patient protection coverings that are claimed to be resistant to lasers.
This part provides a standard test and classification method for the hazards caused by lasers to surgical drapes and other patient protection coverings, and gives a corresponding classification system. This part does not include general fire safety specifications. Similarly, this part does not include other ignition sources or the secondary ignition of coverings caused by lasers.
All materials can reflect a portion of the light beam, and users must decide whether specular reflection may pose a hazard, but this is not addressed in this part.
