Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the mechanized production technology of oats. It is applicable to the cultivation of oats in northern Shanxi and similar ecological regions. Main technical contents: 3. Land preparation: 3.1 Site selection and land preparation: Select plots with flat terrain, deep soil layer, and loose soil texture. After autumn harvest, conduct deep loosening or plowing of the soil to a depth of 20-30 cm, and at the same time, harrow and level the land to make it smooth and loose. 3.2 Weed control: Spray 45% dimethachlor at a dosage of 150 g/667 m2 mixed with 40-50 kg of water 1-2 days after sowing, and spray evenly on the soil surface. 4. Seed preparation: 4.1 Seed selection: Select suitable varieties based on local natural conditions, and the seed quality shall comply with GB 4404.1. 4.2 Seed treatment: Spread the seeds on a sunny and windless day for 1-2 days, with a thickness of 3-5 cm. Treat the seeds with 50% wettable powder of methylthiazine at a dosage of 0.3% of the seed weight, or 50% wettable powder of folpet at a dosage of 0.5% of the seed weight. 5. Sowing: 5.1 Sowing period: Sow when the soil thaws in early spring, the soil temperature at 5 cm depth is stable above 4 ℃, and the surface soil moisture content is above 10%. For summer oat areas, sow between late March and early April; for autumn oat areas, sow between early May and early June. 5.2 Sowing machinery: Select 2BF-6, 2BF-8, or 2BF-11 type layer-fertilizing sowing machines according to agronomic requirements to complete fertilization, sowing, and compacting operations in one go. The quality of sowing operations shall meet the following requirements: the omission rate shall be ≤ 2%. 5.3 Sowing method: Use mechanical strip-sowing with a row spacing of 20-25 cm. 5.4 Sowing amount: The appropriate sowing amount per 667 m2 is 10-15 kg. 5.5 Sowing depth: The sowing depth should be 4-6 cm, with a slightly deeper depth for early sowing and a slightly shallower depth for late sowing. 5
