Scope

This document establishes the principles for monitoring the environmental parameters of safety-critical electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as "electrical and instrumentation control equipment") during the operation of nuclear power plants, and stipulates the process, technical requirements, monitoring data and text storage, quality assurance, and other requirements.
This document applies to environmental monitoring of safety-critical electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment during the operation of nuclear power plants (excluding environmental monitoring for design reference accidents), and guides nuclear power plants in obtaining important environmental parameters that significantly affect the aging process of electrical and instrumentation control equipment, providing data support for design environmental parameter verification, equipment certification life extension, equipment failure analysis, and aging assessments for nuclear power plant operation license renewal.
The environmental monitoring of other equipment shall be carried out in accordance with this document.
