Scope

The calibration procedure for DC electromagnetic galvanometers is applicable to the initial calibration, subsequent calibration, and in-use inspection of DC electromagnetic galvanometers (hereinafter referred to as "galvanometers").
This procedure is not applicable to:
a) Galvanometers that do not directly read the position of the movable part during the measurement process, such as photoelectric amplified galvanometers, electronic amplified galvanometers, and light recorder galvanometers;
b) Galvanometers specifically installed in measurement devices;
c) Galvanometers with an energy constant of less than 1×10-16W·s/mm;
d) Galvanometers with an oscillation period of less than 0.5s
