Scope

Main Technical Content: 3. Terminology and Definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Leymus chinensis, also known as alkali grass, is a plant of the Leymus genus in the Poaceae family. It is a perennial species with downward or lateral rhizomes. It is resistant to cold, drought, trampling, and poor soil conditions, as well as salt and alkali. It has broad adaptability and is rich in leaves, making it highly valuable for forage. 3.2 Seedbed A place for placing seedling trays, divided into ground-level and elevated types. 3.3 Hardening of Seedlings A process of enhancing seedling adaptability by taking measures such as ventilation, cooling, and appropriate water control 7 days before transplantation. 3.4 Rhizome Tillering Seedlings The tillering shoots of Leymus chinensis that grow aboveground, forming a new generation of tillering plants. They may also be multiple new individuals propagated asexually through tillering into surrounding soil. 3.5 Transplantation The process of transplanting seedling trays and rhizome tillering seedlings into the field. 3.6 Saline Soil Soil with a salt content exceeding 0.3%, which adversely affects crop growth. The main characteristics and classification of salinized arable land in the Yellow River irrigation area are described in Appendix A. 4 Target Requirements 4.1 Management of Seedling Trays 4.1.1 Seed Selection The selection method follows GB/T 2930, and it is recommended to use seeds that meet the requirements of the "Grass Seed Management Measures", such as stress-resistant varieties like Zhongke 1 and Zhongke 2. The seed quality should meet the second-grade requirements of GB 6142. The seedling site uses standard steel frame greenhouses or intelligent greenhouses. The seedling trays selected are 96-hole disposable trays. The trays are disinfected by soaking in 1:1000 potassium permanganate solution for 30 minutes, rinsed, and dried for use. The seedli
