Main Technical Content: 3 Breeds Breed sources and characteristics: The Weili Rob sheep are mainly distributed in Weili County, downstream of the Tarim River, and into Ruoqiang County, as well as the middle and lower reaches of the Chelshen River basin. They belong to the Mongolian sheep breed. The core breeding areas are located in Tariq Township, Dunkoutan Township, Xingping Township, and Gulebag Township of Weili County. This breed features genetic stability, extreme adaptability to arid and hot climates, strong disease resistance, and tolerance to coarse feed. Exterior characteristics: The Weili Rob sheep have a white body coat, with black or brown spots on the head and limbs. Their wool is coarse and short. They have a robust constitution, well-proportioned body, and medium stature. The head is moderate in size and elegant, with the forehead hair curved forward and downward, a prominent nose bridge, and slightly protruding eyes. The ears are medium in size and drooping. Male sheep typically have spiral horns, while some female sheep have small horns. The back is straight, with well-arched ribs. The limbs are strong and upright, and the hooves are solid. The short fat tail is shaped like a "Kantuman", with an upwardly curved tip. The wool quality is heterogeneous, with predominantly wool hairs. The body is mostly white, with black or brown spots on the head and limbs. 4 Production Performance: Wool yield: The average weight of adult male sheep is 1.2 kg, and the average weight of adult female sheep is 0.98 kg; the average weight of one-year-old male sheep is 0.82 kg, and the average weight of one-year-old female sheep is 0.55 kg. Meat yield: The ideal slaughter age is 12 months, and the meat yield performance is shown in Table 1.
