Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for personnel and equipment involved in eddy current testing of crystal pots, the implementation procedures for the test, the methods for defect grading and processing of test results, and the content requirements for the inspection records and reports generated. This standard applies to the automatic mechanical rotary scanning eddy current testing of the inner wall surface of crystal pots with a nominal inner diameter of not less than 250mm and no welded joints in the cylindrical section, using stationary and bidirectional probes.
