Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the geographical range, definitions and classifications, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, labeling and packaging, and transportation and storage requirements for Yilong Rouge Radish cultivation areas. Main Technical Content: B.1 Variety Selection: Select varieties that are cold-resistant, disease-resistant, and storage- and transportation-friendly. The flesh-root should be gourd-shaped with distinct variety characteristics, weighing around 100g per root. Both the root surface and flesh should be Rouge-red in color, with dense tissue. These are suitable for processing of Rouge Radish varieties that have undergone purification and rejuvenation. B.2 Cultivation Management B.2.1 Soil, Fertilizer, and Water Management: - Plow and cultivate the soil 20 days before sowing, with a cultivation depth of 25-35 cm. Level the field and open rows about 80 cm wide. Apply base fertilizer at the row surface, including 2,500 kg of composted organic fertilizer, 30 kg of superphosphate, and 1 kg of borax per mu. - Level and compact the soil after cultivation. B.2.2 Field Management - After 5-7 days of seedling emergence, check and replant as needed. - When the seed leaves unfold, thin the seedlings to 4 per hole. - When the second or third true leaves appear, thin to 2 per hole. - Apply 1 kg of borax dissolved in composted manure per mu as a top dressing 7 days after the first fertilization. - Mix 15 kg of urea and 5 kg of potassium chloride in a 1:150 ratio and apply 6 kg of urea and 10 kg of potassium chloride per mu, also dissolved in water, about 6 days after the second fertilization. B.2.3 Pest and Disease Control - Adhere to the principle of "prevention-oriented, integrated control." - Use natural methods such as sprinkling ash to control aphids, butterflies, and viral diseases, as well as soft rot and downy mildew. - Avoid spraying chemical or biological pesticides within 35 days of harvest
