Scope
This standard specifies the most basic characteristics and identification of butyl rubber bottle stoppers. Other requirements for butyl rubber bottle stoppers that are not specified in this standard are covered by the corresponding product standards. This standard applies to pharmaceutical bottle stoppers (hereinafter referred to as "bottle stoppers") made primarily from butyl rubber as the main material.
