Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test methods and procedures, data and reports for the reproductive toxicity test of Collembola (springtails) in soil using chemicals. This standard is applicable to assessing the reproductive effects of water-soluble or water-insoluble substances on Collembola (springtails) in soil. This standard is not applicable to volatile substances, i.e., substances with a Henry's constant or gas/water partition coefficient greater than 1, or a vapor pressure exceeding 0.0133 Pa at 25 °C.
