Scope

Main Technical Content: 4. Site Selection 4.1 Site Selection 4.1.1 Annual average temperature: 21°C–23°C; annual average sunshine duration ≥1900 hours; annual average rainfall 1600mm–1800mm. 4.1.2 It is recommended to select sites with convenient transportation, sufficient water resources, and convenient irrigation and drainage, as well as sites with a gentle slope facing the sun and protected from the wind, for nursery beds. The environmental quality of the site shall comply with the provisions of NY/T 5010. 4.2 Site Planning 4.2.1 It is recommended to build a protective forest belt around the site, with the width determined based on the geographical location and wind hazard of the orchard. The main forest belt should be perpendicular to the main wind direction, and the secondary forest belt should be located along the main road or irrigation and drainage ditches in the orchard. The main forest belt should consist of 5–6 rows, and the secondary forest belt should consist of 3–4 rows. A deep ditch should be dug to separate the forest belt from the orchard planting area. 4.2.2 According to the size, topography, slope, and terrain of the site, the site can be divided into several sub-areas, each with an area of approximately 1.3SA–1.6SA. For slopes with a slope greater than 5°, a terrace with a width of 1.5–2 meters should be constructed. Sites with a slope greater than 20° are not suitable for planting. 4.2.3 Establish an irrigation and drainage system to ensure timely irrigation, effective drainage, and water conservation during moderate rainfall. A well-developed road system should be constructed to facilitate future field management and transportation. 5. Planting 5.1 Planting density: either 4m × 4m or 4m × 5m spacing, with 33–41 plants per 667m2. 5.2 Planting hole dimensions: 0.8m × 0.8m × 0.8m in length, width, and depth. Before planting, each hole should be filled with 30–40kg of composted organic fertilizer and farmyard manure + 1kg of c
