Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions of mulching technology in wolfberry gardens, land preparation and fertilization, mulching techniques, and technical requirements for maintenance and replacement. This document is applicable to the wolfberry production areas in Ningxia. Main technical content: 3. Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Mulching refers to the laying of horticultural mulch films with water-permeable, air-permeable, and weed-preventing functions on the surface of the soil. 4. Land preparation and fertilization 4.1 Land preparation - Remove weeds and residual branches in wolfberry gardens and level the surface of the soil. Specifically, follow GB/T19116, T/TFHT Z016, and DB63/T916. - Apply composted organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers using the symmetrical trench method before soil freezing in winter or after soil thawing in spring. Specifically, refer to DB63/T916 and comply with GB15618 requirements. 5. Mulching techniques 5.1 Mulch film selection - Select black mulch films with a width of 100cm or 300cm, a thickness of 2mm, a weight of 80-100g/m2, and a water permeability of ≥5.0L/(S·m2). They should comply with GB/T17690 standards. - The mulching time is after soil thawing in spring and before wolfberry bud sprouting. 5.3 Mulching methods 5.3.1 Strip mulching - Lay 100cm-wide mulch films on both sides of the tree trunks along the planting rows, and fix them with ground stakes every 200cm. 5.3.2 Full-field mulching - Lay 300cm-wide mulch films along both sides of the wolfberry rows, and fix them with ground stakes every 200cm. Sew the adjacent mulch films together with a sewing machine. 6. Maintenance and replacement - Regularly inspect the mulch films. Repair or re-fix them promptly if there are any damage or displacement. - Replace and remove the old mulch films after 3 years of use, as needed. Specifically, refer to GB/T34805 for
